Moveable Feast Edition
The Intercultural Studies Group is pleased to announce its eighth international conference, to be held in Tarragona, Spain, 26-27 June 2026.
Planning the intellectual leg of your early summer in Europe? This is the one conference you should schedule everything else around! The beach, Barcelona, and tapas are at hand for any vacation days in between.
Language: English.
Format: Speakers will be given 20 minutes to present their project; each presentation will be followed by 10 minutes of discussion. This format is designed to promote international contacts among researchers.
Topics: Speakers should present new research on some aspect of translation and interpreting, with a view to indicating future developments of the field.
Deadlines: Abstracts can be proposed until April 1, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent by April 15, 2026. If acceptance is needed earlier for funding purposes, please make a request.

It analyses how translation technologies empower professional and non-professional translators and how the democratisation of technology allows translation users to become non-professional translators.” |
Kayoko Takeda Senior Specially Appointed Professor, Rikkyo University, Tokyo “The primary focus of my research is how states engage with the practice of interpreting and translation, especially in the context of war.” |
Venue: The conference will be at the Campus Catalunya of Universitat Rovira i Virgili, 35 Avinguda Catalunya, Tarragona.
Fees: General fee: 100€; past students of the URV doctorate in Translation and Intercultural Studies: free.
