New Research in Translation and Interpreting Studies
Tarragona, Spain, 18-20 October 2007
Following the success of the conferences in Tarragona in 2005 and 2006, the Intercultural Studies Group is pleased to announce the third international conference for graduate students and young scholars engaged in research on Translation and Interpreting Studies, many of whom will be presenting their first papers. The format is designed to promote international contacts among novice researchers and to encourage extensive feedback from peers.
Languages: English, Spanish.
Venue: Consell Comarcal del Tarragonès Carrer de les Coques, 3 Tarragona
Format: Speakers will be given 20 minutes to present their project; each presentation will be followed by 15 minutes of discussion.
Publication: Selected speakers will later be invited to present 3,000-word papers for publication. See the style sheet here.
Conference fee: 50 euros (payment upon registration)
Organization: The conference is organized by the Intercultural Studies Group as part of its PhD program in Translation and Intercultural Studies, with the cooperation of CETRA and the European Society for Translation Studies. It is subsidized in part by the Diputació de Tarragona, the Consell Comarcal del Tarragonès, and the Catalan Research Agency (AGAUR).
