Anthony Pym teaches at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and is former President of the European Society for Translation Studies. He works on sociological approaches to translation and intercultural relations. He holds a doctorate in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris. His publications include Translation and Text Transfer (1992), Epistemological Problems in Translation and its Teaching (1993), Pour une éthique du traducteur (1997), Method in Translation History (1998), Negotiating the Frontier: Translators and Intercultures in Hispanic History (2000), The Moving Text: Translation, Localization, and Distribution (2004) and Exploring Translation Theories (2010/2014). Kevin Costello profile pic_______________

Kevin Costello is a professional translator and author's editor. He taught Spanish and Translation Studies at James Madison University in Virginia, United States, where he created the Minor in Translation and Interpretation. From 1998 to 2006 he worked as a translator, author's editor and teacher for the Language Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. He has been coordinator of the URV Postgraduate Programs in Translation. 

John Style profile pic_______________

John Style is Director of the Department of English and German Studies at the URV and has worked in the fields of translation and English teaching in Spain for the past twenty years. He has worked as a part-time translator for the Language Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and is a lecturer in English Language and Literature in the Faculty of Arts. Part of his current research involves the reception/translation and cross-cultural influences of Virginia Woolf in Spain and Catalonia.

Esther Torres profile pic_______________

Esther Torres is a professional translator, teacher and researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. As a translator she specializes in the translation of cultural products (literature, audiovisual, art). As a teacher she has worked in Chonbunk National University, University of Yonsei and currently teaches in the Department of English and German Studies at the URV. She holds a doctorate in Translation and Intercultural Studies and works on Korean literary exchanges and the reception of translations.

Judith Cortés profile pic_______________

Judith Cortés is a professional translator, editor and proofreader. She is also lecturer at UAB, University of Vigo and Universitat Rovira i Virgili. As a translator, she is specialized on audiovisual translation in the area of dubbing and subtitling films, series, cartoons and documentaries (DVD, cinema and TV). She also works as general and sworn translator and localizer for different companies and proofreader and assistant editor for different internet publications of UOC (Open Univeristy). As a lecturer, she teaches Technologies at the Degree of Translation and Interpreting (UAB), Voice Over at the Master of Audiovisual Translation (UAB) and Voice Over at the online Official Master in Multimedia Translation (University of Vigo).

Nune Ayvazyan profile pic​_______________

Nune Ayvazyan is a doctoral candidate and researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Her research explores the ways in which translation can be used as a communicative tool in foreign-language teaching and learning. She holds a BA in English Studies (2012) from the URV and an MA in Translation Studies (2013) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, where she also taught English to BA students of Translation and Interpreting. She is currently teaching English at the URV. She is also a professional translator and interpreter (Russian, English, Spanish, Catalan), specializing in legal, economic and academic translation.
