Nune Ayvazyan completed a PhD in Translation Studies in 2016 and currently teaches English at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Her research explores the ways in which translation can be used as a communicative tool in foreign-language teaching and learning. She holds a BA in English Studies (2012) from the URV and an MA in Translation Studies (2013) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, where she also taught English to BA students of Translation and Interpreting. She is also a professional translator and interpreter (Russian, English, Spanish, Catalan), specializing in legal, economic and academic translation.*

Judith Cortés is a professional translator, editor and proofreader. As a translator, she specializes in the dubbing and subtitling films, series, cartoons and documentaries (DVD, cinema and TV). She also works as general and sworn translator and localizer for various companies and a proofreader and assistant editor for internet publications by the Open University of Catalonia. As a lecturer, she teaches Translation Technologies at the UAB, and Voice Over in the Master of Audiovisual Translation at the UAB and the online Master in Multimedia Translation at the University of Vigo.

Kevin Costello is a professional translator and text editor. He taught Spanish and Translation Studies at James Madison University in Virginia, United States, where he created the Minor in Translation and Interpretation. From 1998 to 2006 he worked as a translator, author's editor and teacher for the Language Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. He has been coordinator of the URV Postgraduate Programs in Translation.* 

_______________ Susan M. DiGiacomo is professor of anthropology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where she teaches graduate courses in medical anthropology and one course in the MA in professional English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translation. She also holds an appointment as adjunct professor of anthropology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. In addition to several years working as a biomedical translator, she has published numerous translations (Catalan and Spanish to English, and English to Catalan) in her own field of anthropology over the past 25 years, and articles theorizing translation from the perspective of ethnography.
_______________ Maria Rosich is a professional translator and teaches at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. As a translator she specializes in fiction from Dutch, English and Danish into Spanish and Catalan and has translated more than forty books. She also translates videogames and documentaries, and has a wide experience as a general translator and interpreter in various sectors. She has worked for companies based in 34 different countries.
John Style profile pic_______________ John Style is Director of the Department of English and German Studies at the URV and has worked in the fields of translation and English teaching in Spain for the past twenty years. He has worked as a part-time translator for the Language Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and is a lecturer in English Language and Literature in the Faculty of Arts. Part of his current research involves the reception/translation and cross-cultural influences of Virginia Woolf in Spain and Catalonia.
Esther Torres profile pic_______________ Esther Torres is a professional translator, teacher and researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. As a translator she specializes in the translation of cultural products (literature, audiovisual, art). As a teacher she has worked in Chonbunk National University, University of Yonsei and currently teaches in the Department of English and German Studies at the URV. She holds a doctorate in Translation and Intercultural Studies and works on Korean literary exchanges and the reception of translations.*
Anthony Pym profile pic_______________ Anthony Pym teaches at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and is former President of the European Society for Translation Studies. He works on sociological approaches to translation and intercultural relations. He holds a doctorate in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris. He has authored or edited some 25 books on translation, including Translation Solutions for Many Languages (2016). Homepage here
_______________ Judith Raigal Aran is a professional translator and proof-reader with expertise in the legal and IT fields. She holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting (2013) and an MA in Translation Studies (2014) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. She is a doctoral candidate at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where she teaches legal translation. Her research interests involve translators' agency, legal translation and professional translation.
