Miryoung Sohn teaches in the Korean program at the Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation, and Language Education of the Monterey Institute of International studies. She has been working as a freelance conference interpreter and translator for the past 25 years.

Research summary

The research is designed to investigate predictive validity of the entrance exam given at the Graduate School of Translation & Interpretation, Language Education at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. The study focuses on finding correlations between students' entrance exam scores and students' GPA and professional exam scores. It also sets out to suggest alternative testing options that can complement the current entrance exam.
